A terrace is not simply a larger balcony. It carries different load considerations, often includes permanent flooring, and invites more ambitious zoning — a dining table for eight, a lounge corner with weatherproof sofas, perhaps a compact outdoor kitchen. Moraldenom furnishes terrazze from 12 m² penthouses to 60 m² rooftop spaces across Milan, coordinating furniture, planters, lighting, and shade in a single coherent plan.

Terrace zones we design

Dining
Tables, chairs, and benches sized to your space. We specify extendable tables for flexible hosting and stackable seating for winter storage. Typical spend: €1,800–€4,500 for a six-seat setup.
Lounging
Modular sofas, daybeds, and low tables with quick-dry cushions. Aluminium frames with powder-coated finishes resist Milan's humidity. Typical spend: €2,200–€6,800.
Green
Built-in planters, raised beds, and vertical systems with automatic drip irrigation. We choose species that survive frost and summer heat on exposed rooftops. Typical spend: €950–€3,400.
Shade
Pergolas, retractable awnings, and cantilever umbrellas rated for urban wind. Administrator documentation included where required. Typical spend: €1,400–€5,200.
Cooking
Compact gas or electric grills, prep surfaces, and storage modules. We verify gas connection feasibility and ventilation requirements before specifying.
Lighting
Low-voltage LED strips, wall sconces, and path lights on timers or smart switches. IP65 minimum for all fixtures. Typical spend: €480–€1,650.

Seasonal tip from our studio: Milan terraces see heavy use from April through October, then sit idle. We design storage plans — stackable chairs, cushion boxes, and planter covers — so winter does not mean clutter indoors.

Materials matter outdoors

Every piece we specify appears in our weatherproof materials library. Teak looks beautiful but needs maintenance; porcelain stoneware decking handles freeze-thaw without warping; Sunbrella-class fabrics dry in hours, not days. We walk you through trade-offs at the Tortona showroom before you commit.

Installation and handover

Large terraces often require crane access or weekend lift bookings. Our project coordinator handles building logistics, coordinates with your administrator, and supervises installation over one to three days. Handover includes a care manual, warranty register, and a follow-up visit after the first season (included in Complete packages, €180 otherwise).
